  • I stopped in tonight with my wife just to get a to-go order to take home after meeting friends for drinks. While I was there, I learned that they just received a new small batch Nepalese whiskey, called Old Durbar, and it was spectacular. They were able to accommodate a tasting for several different Nepalese spirits that I've never had before. The food is great, the atmosphere is spectacular, and everyone is so friendly. I can't wait to go back again soon to buy a bottle of the Nepalese rum, Kukri!

  • We got a lamb curry and a chicken biryani and they were both absolutely phenomenal… oxtail momos were a little greasy/fatty, but the sauce helps a lot. I would definitely go back and just get two curries on top of the biryani…

  • Absolutely phenomenal. I got the Heritage Special Mo:Mo with Buffalo, which is not my favorite meat but I wanted to spice it up, and loved it. I put myself at average to a tad above average in spice tolerance and this was the perfect level. That is zero exaggeration, I have spent much of my time searching for the ideal level of spice, with many coming just too little or just too much, and this restaurant has found the exact perfect level. Food and drink came out within 20 minutes, though there was not much crowd, which was perfect as I was in a rush. Cannot recommend this place enough

  • Absolutely delicious food and super friendly service! Every dish was packed with flavor, the staff were super attentive and kind, and the restaurant was cozy. We ordered the chicken johl momo, the steamed heritage special momo with goat, and the tikka masala chicken curry. Highly recommend to all!

  • Y’AALLLLL. LISTEN UP!!! We visited DC from MI for the first time and stayed in Adams Morgan. Real talk Himalayan Heritage is 500,000/10 good. We got the chicken vindaloo (spice level as it comes—the slightly more orange colored dish from the photo) and tikka masala chicken (hot—the more red colored dish), garlic naan, gobi Manchurian, gulab jamun (dessert balls), and my husband drank some sweet red wine. All were so delicious!! tbh we have good Indian food in Michigan but this was waaaaaaaaay better than MI Indian spots we know of. (We have never seen any Nepalese in Mi other than a good friend’s parents’ home cooking so we cannot comment on that part.) Our server, Moon, was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE, a real gem. She was patient, kind, happy to explain things, beautiful & professional, and we appreciated that she was easygoing with 2 complete out of towners!! We loved Himalayan Heritage so so much and look forward to the next time we’ll be in town to visit. In fact it was by far the BEST food we had in DC, tied only with those croissants from Soleluna up the road. Absolutely recommended!!!!!!

  • Great food and drinks. Family friendly restaurant. The dumpling soup a bit too salty but all the meats are really well seasoned and taste amazing.
